SOHO - small office/home office

The modern concept of small office/home office, or SoHo, refers to the category of business, which involves from 1 to 10 workers. SOHO can also stand for small or home office or single office/home office. A larger business enterprise, one notch up the size scale, is often categorized as a small business. When a company reaches 100 or more employees, it is often referred to as a Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME).

Computer Literacy

Computer literacy is defined as the knowledge and ability to use computers and related technology efficiently, with a range of skills covering levels from elementary use to programming and advanced problem solving. Computer literacy can also refer to the comfort level someone has with using computer programs and other applications that are associated with computers. Another valuable component of computer literacy is knowing how computers work and operate. Having basic computer skills is a significant asset in the developed countries.

GIGO

Garbage In, Garbage Out (abbreviated to GIGO, coined as a pun on the phrase First-In, First-Out) is a phrase in the field of computer science or information and communication technology. It is used primarily to call attention to the fact that computers will unquestioningly process the most nonsensical of input data (garbage in) and produce nonsensical output (garbage out). It was most popular in the early days of computing, but applies even more today, when powerful computers can spew out mountains of erroneous information in a short time. It is also commonly used to describe failures in human decision making due to faulty, incomplete, or imprecise data.

Green Computing

Green computing or green IT, refers to environmentally sustainable computing or IT. In the article Harnessing Green IT: Principles and Practices, San Murugesan defines the field of green computing as "the study and practice of designing, manufacturing, using, and disposing of computers, servers, and associated subsystems—such as monitors, printers, storage devices, and networking and communications systems—efficiently and effectively with minimal or no impact on the environment". The goals of green computing are similar to green chemistry; reduce the use of hazardous materials, maximize energy efficiency during the product's lifetime, and promote the recyclability or biodegradability of defunct products and factory waste. Research continues into key areas such as making the use of computers as energy-efficient as possible, and designing algorithms and systems for efficiency-related computer technologies.

Information System

In a very broad sense, the term 'information system' is frequently used to refer to the interaction between people, algorithmic processes, data and technology. In this sense, the term is used to refer not only to the information and communication technology (ICT) an organization uses, but also to the way in which people interact with this technology in support of business processes.

Information

Information is any kind of event that affects the state of a dynamical system. In its most restricted technical sense, it is an ordered sequence of symbols. As a concept, however, information has many meanings. Moreover, the concept of information is closely related to notions of constraint, communication, control, data, form, instruction, knowledge, meaning, mental stimulus, pattern, perception, and representation.

Data

In computing, 'data' is information that has been translated into a form that is more convenient to move or process. Relative to today's computers and transmission media, data is information converted into binary digital form.

1. Confidence

- once you get comfortable in your writing, you can start making videos, giving interviews or even talks. who knows where it may lead. you will see how blogging can improve your confidence. it’s all about taking small steps.

2. Connections

- when you have a blog, like-minded people will naturally gravitate to you and strike up conversations. you have the ability to meet people you never would have met otherwise. now, it will not happen automatically, you will have to promote your blog and build links.

3. Self-Improvement

- there is no doubt that someone who has been blogging seriously for several years has grown in several areas of their life. blogging takes discipline, creativity, patience and strategy, just to name a few. if you’re going after hardcore blogging fame, then you will definitely grow if you keep going. there will be times when you won’t feel like writing. there will be times when you will feel discouraged. there will be times when someone sent you a nasty e-mail and you just want to quit.

4. Clarity

- as you write more and more, you will start to experience a sense of clarity. i have never been someone that keeps a journal, but when i started blogging and writing my thoughts and experience down, something shifted within me. there's something about writing down your thoughts that gives you a sense of relief and peace. it's almost as if you're unloading your thoughts into the sheet of virtual paper inside your computer.

Blog's Primary Purpose

my opinion is that blog should be for providing rich information content on a variety of topics that relate to your life and surroundings and that the purpose of a blog should be to inform people about all kind of things.
